~~ What is the minimum age for children on these tours?
NEVADA STATE LAW requires children ages 6 and weighing less than 60 pounds shall be secured in a child restraint system. A car seat will be provided for your tour. The minimum age on tours is 1½ years old with parental supervision.
~~ What should we bring - wear?
We recommend wearing comfortable walking shoes and outdoor clothing. Sunscreen and hats are recommended. Remember to bring your camera and film.
~~ Are the vehicles air conditioned?
The vehicles are luxuriously equipped Suburbans and are fully air-conditioned.
~~ How many people do your vehicles hold?
The Suburban vehicles hold a maximum of 6 passengers plus the guide.
~~ Can we bring our lunch and eat in the vehicle?
No food or glass containers are allowed in the vehicles. Lunch is only provided for the following tours: Grand Canyon, Death Valley and Zion tours. A snack is provided on the Valley of Fire tour. If you have small children, you may bring a snack for the longer tours.
~~ Will there be other people on the vehicle with my family?
Tours frequently sell out and each vehicle is maximized to accommodate all customers. It is likely there will be other people on the vehicle.
~~ Can I get a private vehicle?
You can have a private vehicle by purchasing a minimum of 6 seats.
~~ What happens if it rains?
Tours operate rain or shine. Las Vegas being located in the Mohave Desert only averages 4-5 inches of rain per year. The Southwest has a lot of micro climates so most rainfall is short lived. The rainfall offers a chance for rainbows and waterfalls providing spectacular photo opportunities. If the weather conditions are severe enough that the trip must be cancelled, you will be offered the chance to switch your tour, reschedule, or receive a refund.
~~ Is it customary to tip the driver and if so, how much?
Yes, it is customary to tip your guide. The usual gratuity is 15%. You can tip your guide directly or you can put the gratuity on a credit card.
